Question: Are elliptical machines accurate when burning calories?

I was just on my new elliptical machine and I was on for approx. 20 minutes but then I noticed It said I had only burned 10 calories! I was going at a fast/ moderate pace. Are elliptical machines always accurate? I feel like I burned way more.

They are just estimations and nothing more. If it says you only burned only 10 calories, the sensor is most likely broken. It could mean you 're burning 10 calories per minute.
