About elliptical machines?
Well I have read a lot of things saying that an elliptical workout can burn up to 600 to 700 calories and hour, is this true? Also I weight 130 pounds so If I do it for and hour will I lose the same amount of calories in an hour or are they talking someone who weighs 200 pounds will lose 700 in an hour?? I really just need advice on the elliptical haha
Are elliptical machines good for losing fat on your thighs and calves and not gaining muscle?
I& 039 m not allowed to go outside and have a long distance run in my family, but my calves and thighs are getting kinda big because I NEVER exercised. So are elliptical machines good for slimming down your calves and thighs? Does it make them bigger because it builds up your muscle?
Should I buy a treadmill or one of those elliptical machines?

Recently, I& 039 ve been on a total health kick. I& 039 m not overweight at all, but I want to lose some fat at maybe drop 2 3 pounds. My parents have an elliptical machine in their bedroom and I think I want to start using it. I can& 039 t run on my own outside yet because I& 039 m too young 14 and my parents said I have to wait until I& 039 m 15. Will running on the elliptical for 35 minutes every day every other day at a very fast pace help me burn fat and gain stamina? I rode on it once 6 miles in 32 minutes and after I was done I was covered in sweat.Are elliptical machines effective? I am also eating healthier now and watching my calories.My knees are also very sensitive due to cracking them continuously. I heard that elliptical are good for people with bad knees.
Question about stair/elliptical machines?!?
I am a 19 year old female. I am 5& 039 4 and as of this morning I weigh in at 111.6lbs.I have been fluctuating between 111 113lbs. Currently I try to stick to 1300 1700cal day. I get in at least 1 2.5hrs of walking daily. I work as a hostess so I am on my feet most of the time. I got a 2 month pass to the gym for July August. I would like to lose about 14lbs. At a rate of 2lbs week. My routine is as follows 5AM 10AM 10 Machines 30min each. Alternating between the stair elliptical treadmill.2 30 4 30 2 Hour walk around the neighborhood.8 30PM 11 30PM 3 Hour walk around the neighborhoodMy diet Anything from an animal or the earth. Ie. mostly peppers, carrots, onions, celery, chicken and tuna At about 1300 cal day.Does this sound like i& 039 ll be able to shave off some body fat lose 14lbs? Thank you
